Abstract
PENALVA, M. Carmen; POSADAS, José Adolfo and ROIG, Ana Isabel. Resolution and approach of problems: Contexts for learning of the probability. Educ. mat [online]. 2010, vol.22, n.3, pp. 23-54. ISSN 1665-5826.
The main goal of the research presented here is to characterize the undergraduate students' activities of problem posing in the domain of probability. We describe the resources, heuristics, and type of reasoning when students posed conditional probability problems and we identify the cognitive demand of the problems formulated by students. Students had to solve a problem and create an original problem from a given situation, involving in both tasks concepts of probability. The findings indicate that the relation between the way of solving problem and the activity of problem posing is complex but it provides information about undergraduate students' probability learning.
Keywords : problem posing; problem posing heuristics; tasks about probability; learning context.
