In this article I analyze the impact of the arrival and integration of Republican exiles on the evolution of Catalan associations and press. I focus on the main cultural and recreational institution, the Casal de Catalunya, and on the magazines Ressorgiment and Catalunya, the most prestigious and popular ones among Catalan media in Buenos Aires. I also consider the links between these groups and other Catalan communities in Latin America.
