The nationalization that was carried out in France, stirred up among the contemporaries a political debate that has arrived to the historians: Was a solution for the financial problem or an agrarian reform? That decision confirmed the especially bourgeois character of the French Revolution? It benefited also to the peasantry? Only they were benefited some speculators? It was squandered the patrimony that had become national?
