BONAUDO, Marta. Cuando las tuteladas tutelan y participan. La Sociedad Damas de Caridad (1869-1894). Sig. his [online]. 2006, vol.8, n.15, pp.70-97. ISSN 1665-4420.
This article is intended to analyze one of the social power nets that were constructed in the notabiliar space. The difference in this kind of nets is that they acquired an institutional character based on some lines of organization that established great differences between them and the precedent forms. Even when the make up of a central-liberal State and the reconfiguration of the provincial States was an attempt to weaken the intermediate corporations that could intervene between individuals and State, their managers were very concern about the liberal principle of an self-regulated society. This is why, the civil society had to look after the public problems. From this perspective, I study the range of links and solidarities that were created through the experience of the Sociedad de Damas de la Caridad (1869-1894).
