SANCHEZ DOMINGUEZ, Israel; ACEVEDO CONTLA, Pedro y CONTRERAS, Juan Antonio. Simulación y caracterización de un transductor ultrasónico utilizando Rexolite como acoplamiento acústico. Superf. vacío [online]. 2011, vol.24, n.2, pp.39-42. ISSN 1665-3521.
This article describes the simulation and characterization of an ultrasonic transducer using a new material to be used as coupling (matching). This transducer was simulated using a commercial piezoelectric ceramic PIC255 at 8MHz, and the material that was used as matching was Rexolite, which features excellent acoustic coupling. The results obtained with finite element method software, demostrated the proper funtioning of the transducer to have the Rexolite as coupling. Rexolite consider allowing a suitable material to work and get results, because of its malleability and acoustic properties.
