Resumen
ACA-ACA, M. G. et al. Estimación de propiedades termodinámicas de los compuestos involucrados en la producción de biodiesel. Superf. vacío [online]. 2009, vol.22, n.3, pp.15-19. ISSN 1665-3521.
In the present work, the thermodynamic properties of main components involved in the biodiesel production derived from castor oil (such as fatty acids, tryacylglycerols and methyl esters) were estimated, by means of predictive methods based on group contribution. Among the group contribution methods reported in literature, three of them were selected to estimate the properties: Joback-Reid (JR), Constantinou-Gani (CG) and Marrero-Gani (MG), which are available in commercial simulators (such as Aspen Plus and ICAS). To choose the most accurate method, the values of the estimated properties were compared with experimental values reported in literature. The Constantinou-Gani method was the closest method to reality with 7.06% average relative error.
