HERNANDEZ JACQUEZ, Luis Fernando y CENICEROS CAZARES, Delia Inés. Instructor self-efficacy and development: is there a link between variables?. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.78, pp.171-192. ISSN 1665-2673.
The present research analyzes the perception of self-efficacy in professors of higher education in Mexico and its relationship with development, based on Bandura’s theory of self-efficacy. The research was developed through a quantitative approach, with a correlational, non-experimental and transectional focus. We considered 220 subjects (30 instructors and 190 students) to whom we applied the Self-Efficacy Scale for University Faculty (Prieto, 2017) in the case of the professors, and an adaption of the Evaluation of Instructors Survey (Jaume University I, 2008) to the students. The results indicate a high level of both faculty self-efficacy and development, and there is a significant positive correlation between the two variables.
