MARISCAL VEGA, Sara. Peace education and inclusive reasoning. Critical thinking in philosophy for children. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.78, pp.55-71. ISSN 1665-2673.
This paper presents an analysis of the relationships between inclusive peace education and critical thinking as a main element for the achievement of the objectives of a pluralist school. In this context, we present the program of Philosophy for Children as a tool to promote thinking centered on care (in terms of caring for the other) and critique. In this way, inclusive reasoning is supported as a conceptual ideal in peace education, based on the circumstantial conception of human life and conflicts. To this end, philosophy for children is represented as an active rather than a passive methodology, in terms of conflict resolution and knowledge transfer. In conclusion, we recommend tools for peace culture such as active listening and lateral thinking.
