We present the sequence of creating a ''Model for education of indigenous teachers'' from an intercultural perspective and Ethnomathematics. It is based on our two previous research activities: a ''consulting experts'' in mathematics, cultures and teacher training in Costa Rica, on the relevance of ethnomathematics teaching teachers there, and ethnographic research with primary school teachers belonging to Cabecar culture. We show an example of materials developed to implement the model.
