Resumen

GOMEZ, Alicia. New Approaches for the Analysis of the Institutional Change: The Distributional Theory of the Gradual Change. Polít. gob [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.2, pp.391-415. ISSN 1665-2037.

Inside the historical institutionalism has been produced a theory of institutional change that represents a new proposal, different from the classics points of view in this stream, not only because its gradual view of the change but also because its explicit dialogue with the rational institutionalism. The distributional gradual change approach proposes a dynamic view of the institutions, centered in the agency, the power and the ambiguity. It is a complete theory about institutional change, much more developed than the discursive institutionalism and the analysis of institutional strength, and, besides, it can be a valuable tool for the study of some of the main problems of the institutions in the young Latin American democracies.

Palabras llave : institutional change; historical and rational institutionalism; institutions and institutional execution in Latin America; institutional change in Latin America.
