Resumen

CABREJO, José Carlos. The otherness and misleading of the audiovisual language according to Hidden by Michael Haneke. Tóp. Sem [online]. 2018, n.40, pp.137-158. ISSN 2594-0619.

From generative and tensive semiotics, and narratology, this article discusses how the film director Michael Haneke’s Hidden portrays otherness, that is, the vision of a subject over another, other than him. Point of view, videographic / media figures and cinematography are some of the aspects of the film that are used to give a manipulatory, misleading and deceptive vision of what is perceived as “different”: the foreign, the immigrant, the “non-Western”.

Palabras llave : Michael Haneke; Hidden; Otherness.
