This paper investigates the formation and consolidation of a monologism of the multiple in the reception of Bakhtin in Brazil. Resulting from an explicative/applicative process, its performance adapts itself to that of the productivist university, which in turn is related to the latest stage of the development of capitalism. The text ends with a Bakhtinian turn, whereby the author is used against his own reception. This is carried out by means of a revalorization of the category of antagonism.
