Abstract

ALDACO-ARIAS, Susana María  and  SILAS CASILLAS, Juan Carlos. Technogrand’s: Learning in an intergenerational experience. Sinéctica [online]. 2020, n.55, e1098.  Epub Jan 20, 2021. ISSN 2007-7033.  https://doi.org/10.31391/s2007-7033(2020)0055-002.

The Compuabuelitos project had the objective of analyzing an intergenerational experience where teenagers taught seniors how to use information and communication technologies. The students aimed to apply the Pierre Faure’s pedagogy in their teaching, experienced by them in their own academic life. Here, the respect to the person’s rhythm and characteristics is emphasized. The research component was developed on a qualitative way, used the Basic Interpretative Method and benefited from semi structured interviews. The main findings are that adolescents participating in the project had three types of learnings: about the characteristics of third age persons; about the ways to relate with them, and about their role as learning facilitators. Data analysis used Symbolic Interactionism in order to interpret the meaning the experience had for the students, described as enjoyable and enrichening by the participants.

Keywords : adolescence; seniors; information and communication technologies; Pierre Faure pedagogical model; intergenerational experiences.
