Abstract

This article intends to put psychological research in a double frame: by one side, the fist orientation is that neoliberalism promotes in almost all fields of knowledge, and by other side the pursuit of an non hegemonic vision, alternative, based on the ideas of De Souza Santos; on the other, we tell about the difficulties encountered institutional and political conditions created for the deployment of psychological research on campus. Afer that, we examined institutional and evaluation constraints experienced by researchers when they participates in the academic system. But above all, in the case of a faculty of psychology, we will examine the consequences of the university corporatism. Finally, it is about to defend the need for a thorough reflection to examine the relationship between the university and society and the need to rethink the university project. In this regard the importance of constructivist thesis defended by Rolando Garcia is signed.
