Abstract

This paper analyzes the process of teacher training in the academic use of information and communication technologies (ICT) as one of the key factors in raising the quality of education. Worded under quantitative approach through a survey; the study area was the University of Sinaloa; the main study variables were: training in the use and application of ICT; integration frequency of ICT to support for training. The sample size was calculated using a statistical standards; the number of people surveyed was 177. Some of the results indicate that teachers have trained more frequently in the general management of the computer and Internet, and the use of educational platforms, although more than half side they do not use them. Regarding the application of ICT in the classroom, more frequent training focused on teaching skills for incorporating ICT and to a lesser extent, in the management of databases and collaborative actions through social network.
