PONCE-ROJO, Antonio; HERNANDEZ-VEGA, Leticia; HERNANDEZ-CONTRERAS, Jorge y FERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ, Jeffry S.. Análisis de contenido de las interacciones en línea en cursos de pregrado usando Facebook en una modalidad de Blended Learning. Sinéctica [online]. 2012, n.39, pp.01-19. ISSN 2007-7033.
This study presents the results of content analysis of online interactions in 5 undergraduate formal courses (160 students) working under blended learning modality. The courses used Facebook as media to host the virtual complement as an extension of the face to face interaction. The participation in Facebook discussions was established as a formal requisite to approval. The content analysis approach used is based on the Henri's (1992) proposal, including 5 dimensions, considering qualitative and quantitative data: a) Participations, b) Social interactions, c) Interactive participations, d) Cognitive process and, e) Metacognitive process. The results allowed us to define the temporal patterns of participations, as well as the group of roles assumed in these interactions and its evolution throughout 17 effective weeks of course duration. Data made possible the shape of typologies of interaction that give evidence of the grade of commitment assumed by the students in the tasks, as well as the level of the cognitive and metacognitive processes involved in these.
