This research project deals with the knowledge management strategy for the training of researchers in the areas of applied research and technological development in the Universidad Tecnologica de Jalisco, conducted by the Research Academy since 2007, which establishes the research and institutional mechanisms to influence the knowledge of full time teachers. Thestrategy used for knowledge management focuses on the development of intellectual capital of teachers, through the scheme "Intelect" (Euroforum, 1998; Bueno, 2003) composed of three key elements that are human, structural and relational capital. The methodology is participatory action, which describes the processes used for knowledge management. Among the qualitative results is the creation of workshops for training in the conceptual framework of teachers, forums and meetings of faculty, and quantitatively shows the statistical analysis of incorporating teachers to different support programs, as part of the strategy to increment the participation.
