A psychosocial perspective and a quality methodology were used to analyze the representations from psychologies' students about teaching and their practices, as well as their importance in learning. The results allow obtaining theorist-analytic categories that presents in seven thematic outlines to their analysis and interpretation: concepts about teaching; conditions from teaching that promote learning; characteristics from academic areas that teach better their knowledge; the relationship between teaching and evaluating forms and their influence in learning; students impressions about teaching dynamics used from theirs professors; students attitudes about teaching practices; and professors attitudes that promote learning. The most significance results evidence an important influence the traditional teaching view in the student's representation because they consider that principal roll from teacher is akin to a transmitter the information to learn, but appreciate too the professionally from their professors, their openness attitudes, and their interest shows the discipline they teach and to the students themselves.

Keywords : representations; teaching; university students; psychology.
