LUENGO GONZALEZ, Enrique. Towards the synthesis of knowledge. Interdiscipline, transdiscipline and complexity. Espiral (Guadalaj.) [online]. 2021, vol.28, n.80, pp.47-76. Epub 11-Jun-2021. ISSN 1665-0565.
The paper tries to make a quick tour of the different attempts that proposed to link scientific and disciplinary knowledge. The central thesis is that there is a marked tendency in the contemporary scientific development that, without abandoning specialization, is increasing synthesis, rather than analysis. This trend has led to greater inter and transdisciplinary in the various fields of scientific knowledge, including, of curse, in political and social sciences. This essay describes the most relevant attempts at articulation or unification of the sciences raised during the last century and the present and delves in one of the most promising proposals at present, the emergence of complexity.
