Abstract

LOPEZ MIJARES, Antonio. Five historical-political theses of Efraín González Luna: political inhibition; regime; representation; citizenship; nation. Espiral (Guadalaj.) [online]. 2011, vol.18, n.50, pp.65-98. ISSN 1665-0565.

The author interprets Efraín González Luna's thought by means of the analysis of his statements on political inhibition, political regime, representation, citizenship and nation. These statements incorporate descriptive and prescriptive elements in a coherent explanation of the history of Mexico, by appealing to the polarities or antinomies between "the positive" subjects of his reflection, such as representation, identity between nation and state, the legitimate exercise of authority, and those of negative sign: stability without citizenship, factionalism.

Keywords : antinomy ("between social reality and official mold"); historical-political theses; State-nation opposition; unifying principles and democracy; political inhibition; key of our history.
