GARCIA DE ALBA GARCIA, Javier E.; SALCEDO ROCHA, Ana Leticia y VARGAS GUADARRAMA, Luis Alberto. Shared knowledge on high blood-pressure causes in three age-groups in Guadalajara, Mexico. Espiral (Guadalaj.) [online]. 2010, vol.16, n.48, pp.181-204. ISSN 1665-0565.
In this article it is characterized the semantic structure and their representation in multidimensional scaling, about the causes of the arterial hypertension in a sample of 36 of labor residents of the Colony "Fábrica de Atemajac" at Guadalajara, Mexico, to those who were applied two techniques of structured interview (free list and pile sorts). The results evidence a shared semantic model, divided in two subsets of causes: the emotions (nerves, tensions, cranky, anguish, grief, angry, joy, frights) and certain risk factors (contamination, tobacco, obesity, feeding, education) and certain factors of risk for the health (contamination, tobacco, obesity, feeding and education) with some variations according to the age group. Elements that can incorporate to support a culturally adequate medical care.
