Resumen

NAVARRO SOLIS, José Luis. Guidelines for Implementation of Music Teaching Methods from a Constructivist Approach. REDIE [online]. 2017, vol.19, n.3, pp.143-157. ISSN 1607-4041.  https://doi.org/10.24320/redie.2017.19.3.675.

Many musicians have made a living by teaching, which gave rise to music education; however, in many music schools, the teacher training given to students is basic or non-existent, and they learn by trial and error. Part of the problem with teaching is the use of a teaching method, as no provable correlation exists between teachers and the success rate of a given method in each context. This paper offers a theoretical review of pedagogical concepts from representative authors, followed by a series of recommendations for introducing or developing music teaching methods in various learning environments, supported by theories derived from constructivism.
