Abstract

Argumentation has been, since the beginnings of Western culture, a fundamental tool of thought, and part of the university studies that today face many challenges, some of which require the development of this skill. However, in Mexico, research on this subject is practically nonexistent. This article briefly discusses the state-of-the-art research on argumentation in Latin America.
