Abstract

TYRTANIA, Leonardo. Entropie Indeterminateness: Notes on Energy Dissipation, Evolution and Complexity. Desacatos [online]. 2008, n.28, pp.41-68. ISSN 2448-5144.

Complexity refers to a non-equilibrium physical regime in which systems exist on the brink of chaos and uncertainty. To exist means dissipating energy. Complexity is the art of transferring dissipated energy to other times, spaces and systems. The complexity paradigm provides elements that allow us to explain and order reality. Our knowledge is able to give us bearings because it evolves as an integral part of reality itself. Culture is the name of a new kind of complexity that provides the ideal environment for the inclusion of systems of a different nature within social dissipation systems.

Keywords : entropy; evolution; complexity; system; culture.
