Patricia Ponce walks the streets of Boca de Cielo studying the sexual discourse and behavior of people. To do so, she uses empirical intuitions besides the theories and methodologies proposed by Foucault, Malinowsky, Mead, Weeks and Freud, among others. In each corner, house and door she finds an erotic atmosphere. But what is behind this appea- rence? How do people construct and inhabit their relationships as couples within the community? Which sexuality is allowed and which forbidden? How are power roles represented in daily life? Ponce takes us through the steets of this small comunity near the Puerto de Veracruz and shares with us the questions that have arisen during her stay in the community. The sexual relations and thoughts are full of contradictions between what is said and what is done, and within this heterogeneus reality rich in sexual diversity.
