ROJAS HERRA, Luis Alonso. Looking for “love” in the wrong place: Dissident sexual practices between men as production mechanism of homoerotic space and indomites sexual identity configurations. La ventana [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.49, pp.9-44. ISSN 1405-9436.

Dissenting sexual practices between men constitute a rupture in the normative model of sexual practices and destroy the sociocultural construction and romantic love (Herrera, 2010) poorly sold and imposed in a hegemonic way in our current Western societies.

The production and reproduction of spaces by illegitimate subjects, corresponds to the cross-sectional investigation line of the project registered in the Center for Research in Culture and Development (CICDE), of the Vice-Rector for Research of the State University at Distance (UNED) as: “Bodies and unruly territories, disident cartography from San José”.

The intent of this text is to address some mechanisms of production of homoerotic space that have been analyzed in a subtle and emerging way during the investigative process, such as dissident sexual practices among men, to understand how sexuality, desire and territory are related in these spaces.

The main contribution of this text is to seek new techniques to make visible the existence of different ways of relationship between the subject, desire and the production of space. To achieve this objective, the technique of sentimental cartography will be used, which makes it possible to map affective links in space, in order to produce a mapping of desire from a dissident sexual subjectivity.

The text is structured as an opera in two important segments, in each segment three parts can be distinguished. The first part consists of an overture that is a short text that allows the reader to make a first contact with the subject. The next part is the recitative that is a declaimed text, short and without adornments and inspired by experiences of different moments in my personal life. And finally the arias which is the most robust part of the text. Between both segments there is an interlude corresponding to explanatory notes of the methodology used.

Palavras-chave : cartography of desire; production of homoerotic space; Queer theory and urbanism; dissidence; Indomite.
