This article aims to analyze, from a gender perspective, the trajectories of women carrying out caregiving labor in community-based organizations in contexts of poverty. In addition, it intends to introduce dimensions, aspects and working hypotheses which are fruitful for the study of labor trajectories of women. The results presented are based on empirical analysis of in-depth interviews to women carried out for a wider research purpose, which deals with the mode under which community-based organizations provide care to large sectors of the population and explores how women experience different aspects of child care carried out in this field.
