Resumo

This paper proposes that mexican poetry on gay and homosexual themes can be divided chronologically into four successive stages: a descriptive one, which is mainly referential; a sublimated stage, which has the paradoxical intention of hiding and declaring at the same time; one that emphasizes the bodily likeness of homoeroticism as its predominant characteristic and, finally, a stage that focuses on the male body, to express not only with honesty and freedom, but with irreverence, the celebration of love between men.
