Comparison of body images in the category of "beautiful women" due to the sex/gender system, produces dissatisfaction or even influence different strategies to effect change in women. Women students in the Autonomous University of Nayarit considered the cosmetic surgery as a solution to increase self-esteem and the possibility of better life. The ideal of beauty conforms a shared shape by prevailing gender acculturation mechanisms.
