Abstract

CORTES RIVERA, Dalia; GRANADOS ALCANTAR, José Aurelio  and  QUEZADA RAMIREZ, María Félix. International migration in Hidalgo: news dynamics and actors. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.63, pp.429-456.  Epub Oct 21, 2020. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20201557.

Migration of people from Hidalgo to the United States has undergone significant changes in recent years. Currently, there are fewer and fewer households that receive money from abroad and yet there is a permanent flow of migrants. Along with these processes, return migration and the increase of young people and infants born in the United States are presented as phenomena that account for new actors that configure social and demographic dynamics in Hidalgo’s municipalities of high and very high migratory intensity.

Keywords : hidalguense migration; remittances; return migration; people born in the United States.
