The paper presents a case study of a youth policy implemented in the last decade in a Southern Italian region. Versatility and multidimensionality makes the policy very interesting in addition to its action as a local development instrument. The case study has been carried out throughout an exhaustive documentary analysis of reports coming from the ex-ante, during, and ex-post evaluations which accompanied the policy implementation process. The reflection the case study provides is focused on how to promote local development effectively with more transversal policies.
