This article analyses the trajectories of two important Argentinean companies: Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) and Astillero Río Santiago (ARS), which in different ways faced privatisation by the national government. The comparative study of these two companies shows that the links between organisational actors and the socio-economic conditions are never predetermined, since they are always the result of relational games.
