Resumen

NUNEZ-PEREZ, Ricardo Francisco. A novel pseudo-chaotic electronic mixer prototype. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2022, vol.23, n.3, e1869.  Epub 07-Nov-2022. ISSN 2594-0732.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fi.25940732e.2022.23.3.020.

The most important mixing components in the food, drug, chemical, semiconductor, and other industries are industrial mixers. Over time, it has been observed that one of the main problems of conventional mixing is waste formation. Because chaotic rotational mixing has been proving efficient, typical rotational mixing is being migrated to this field. However, much of the chaotic mixers generate chaotization by mechanical means, which is complex and in so flexible. Some efforts have been made to electrically produce the chaotic mixing movement, using the chaotization of dc motors to generate the necessary dynamics that manifest their best efficiency compared to typical rotational mixers. It is well known that, in chaotization work, damage in the components of some mixing systems is not reported, which is an important limitation for their reliable application. This is because signals with chaotic dynamics, when they are of very varied orders, usually produce unbalanced short cycles, within the chaotic cycle states of lower order signals, which can damage the thrusters. The looming work presents the realization of a pseudo-chaotic electronic circuit for mixing that aims to be more reliable than the chaotic mixer, more efficient than the typical mixer and more attenuator of the polluting residue. To do this, the aforementioned circuit generates a friendly pseudo-chaotic dynamic, with the members of the mixing system, which consists of using the short cycles in phase and balanced in each state of the lower order chaotic cycle to form the so-called pseudo-chaotic cycles. A pair of identical rotational mixers are built to produce typical dynamics and pseudo-chaotic dynamics; being integrated by a chaotic oscillator, a pulse width modulator, a bidirectional power handler, a dc micromotor with its thruster and all, as a whole, working under an open loop binary control law. The qualitative evaluation of the pseudo-chaotic mixer shows that its operation is much higher than that of the typical and more reliable than that of the chaotic one and therefore points to its possible use in academic and industrial laboratories. v.g., in paint manufacturing, food processing, grinding, washing, polishing, to name a few.
