MARTINES-LOPEZ, Enrique; DAVILA-PACHECO, Jesús A. e LIRA-CORTES, Leonel. Humidity generation model by the mixture of air flows. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.4, e034. ISSN 2594-0732. https://doi.org/10.22201/fi.25940732e.2018.19n4.034.
The development of a hybrid model for humidity generation that is obtained from the principle of mass conservation in an open system is presented; the model has two inputs (dry air and water vapor) which are mixed in a test chamber, and an output that release the air to the ambient. In the obtained model, humidity is expressed as the ratio between the mass of water vapor and the dry air mass, and by the relationships of gases are obtained the equations to calculate the relative humidity and dew point temperature. In the obtained model, the humidity depends of six input quantities which are susceptible to be measured and controlled, by making it possible the realization. In order to determine the best conditions of operating a generator of this type, an evaluation of the model was obtained by reasonable variations of the input quantities. The results of the evaluation are presented, which indicate that the simultaneous variation of two or more quantities can generate a wide range of relative humidity and temperature of dew point, which is higher than covered by two pressures, two temperatures and devided flow generator.
