ROJAS-HUERFANO, Luisa Fernanda; CASTRELLON-TORRES, Juan Pablo  and  ADARME-JAIMES, Wilson. Public policy for urban logistics. Collective guidelines design for logistics in Bogota-Colombia. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.2, pp.159-169. ISSN 2594-0732.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fi.25940732e.2018.19n2.014.

Urban logistics is an important phenomenon that calls for the attention of cities around the globe, because of their impacts on the competitive environment and the quality of citizens’ life. The aim of this research work is to deploy the methodological process that defined the development guidelines for the Bogotá D.C. (Colombia) urban logistics system. The process represents a way for coordinating flows of products, information, energy and money, not just inside the city but also at its surroundings, which are a consequence of regional, national and international commerce, that directly impact logistics, economy, productivity and mobility aspects of the city. The methodological approach states three development stages: current situation, desired situation, and public policy formulation under grounded theory paradigm. Qualitative analysis is the base for the research work, with important highlights on experts and academics perceptions. Main conclusions focus on the public policy orientation towards specialized logistics services that take into account integral solutions regarding products and people mobility, habitability and sustainability.
