Abstract

VEGA GONZALEZ, L.R.. Relación entre algunos milestones tecnológicos y la evolución de los registradores industriales. Ing. invest. y tecnol. [online]. 2007, vol.8, n.1, pp.11-24. ISSN 2594-0732.

Milestone means a post serving as a mile post signal and also a significant point in development, Merriam Webster (1996). In the industrial recorders technological evolutionary studies, it is observed that when new instruments were launched to market there were available some outstanding new technology devices, or technological milestones. Through the years, those devices had permitted to implement instrument subsystems that overcome previously non solved problems. This is evident when we study industrial electronic recorders, because, as shown in this work, many different technological devices helped to solve technical problems improving instrument operability in different time periods. Then, it is possible to say that behalf each new instrument or instrument family, there are al least an outstanding technological device or milestone. In this article we will show some evidence about the mentioned hypothesis, studying the case of industrial electronic recorders.

Keywords : Industrial recorders; technological evolution; technological milestones.
