The migration of Mexicans to other countries, mainly the United States of America, is a phenomenon that has been studied from diverse approaches and methodologies. One of the dimensions of the migration system that has been given the greatest attention since 2008 to date is that associated with return migration, and it is noteworthy that the return flows have changed in their dynamics and intensity, particularly those with Destination in urban conglomerates. Therefore, the present study aims to analyze the main relations of return migration in the metropolitan and non-metropolitan municipalities of the State of Mexico with migration intensity, marginalization and poverty; As well as to describe the sociodemographic characteristics of those who returned to the entity differentiated between the metropolitan and non-metropolitan, in order to provide elements for the definition of public policy strategies.
