Resumen

PARTIDA BUSH, Virgilio. Changes in the labour markets of Mexico from 2000 to 2010 by active life expectancies. Pap. poblac [online]. 2014, vol.20, n.81, pp.121-164. ISSN 2448-7147.

Changes in the Mexican labor markets are noted through working life expectancies, emphasizing the difference between formal and informal employment. For this purpose, the panel of Mexican labor force survey (ENE and ENOE) is used. The method developed by Andrevv et al. for calculating the age contribution to the change in life expectancy is adapted to the multistate approach. The growing female participation into work is confirmed from 2000 to 2010, as well as a slight decrease in the informality employment. Changes in the working life expectancies throughout the decade confirm the increasing female insertion in the formal and informal employment as well as in unemployment. It is also verified a slight drop in the informal employment for both sexes, but it is also noted an increase in unemployment.

Palabras llave : Labor force; working life expectancies; multistate approach; informal employment.
