SANDOVAL-FORERO, Eduardo Andrés  e  MEZA-HERNANDEZ, María Eugenia. Interculturality in May Yoreme Sinaloa etnorregion. Pap. poblac [online]. 2013, vol.19, n.77, pp.193-204. ISSN 2448-7147.

The indigenous regions present conflicts with the agenda of actors of the non Indian economy. Mostly of non Indian in Mexico are mestizos and they are considering the land as their own. In this way we have, beyond the problem of the etnorregion and the mining activity: etnorregion and drug trafficking, etnorregion and electricity, etnorregion and development, among others. These are just some examples, for further studies, that present ruptures, misunderstandings. In the same way that the installation of mines has altered the social, cultural and economic development of the indigenous peoples, the implementation of conventional and intercultural educational processes, has disturbed the most intimate processes of identity through accultural processes. This paper deals with intercultural education as a policy developed by non-Indians in juxtaposition with the yoreme's etnoregion, and highlights the conflicts in the interaction place where indian people are acculturated. This study addresses how the intercultural education has influenced the etnorregion, in what way hasn't given symmetrical balance nor equal justice between indigenous and non-indigenous cultures, and how it has altered the ethnic essence.

Palavras-chave : Yoreme; etnorregion; intercultural education.
