This paper is carry out from the prevalence of malnutrition among native pre-scholars of the Izhuapan and Ocozotepec communities, mountain of Santa Marta, Veracruz. The results indicates malnutrition < -2Z that affect 41 (weight/age), 13.2 (weight/height) and 52.3 per cent (height/age). Prevalence are significantly higher in both communities Ixhuapan and among children between two and four years old. The studied differences between both communities and among age groups show the importance of conducting studies at the community level in order to determine malnutrition characteristics for specific population.
