The article explores some anthropological, sociological, psychological and juridical elements for tipificar the violence in the mark of its meaning in the contemporary societies. It is centered in the practice of the kidnapping, their width and their consequences, so much at the level of the politicians of normative contention as of the repressive action. The kidnapping is a criminal practice of extreme violence that not few times it produces physical and psychological damages of consideration, even irreversible. It also produces patrimonial damages and loss of innocent lives. The article considers this low practice its form profesionalized like company for police since the order at the elements that intervene in its planeación and execution. It proposes the understanding of the phenomenon finally for the elaboration of public police that they develop and put in action a culture of the non violence like an act inmunitario and preventive necessary to the development of the society.
