A revision of the research results about the feminine home heads and their relationship with the family well-being in Latin America and the Caribbean in general, and in Mexico in particular is carried out in this work. In the recent social context of these countries, the analysis of the homes with feminine heads has particular importance from its social implications and the design and installation of public politics, because the social conditions of gender that can place them in situations of economic and social vulnerability are evident in these homes. The revised works show the necessity to recognize the demographic and social heterogeneity of the homes with feminine heads, and evaluating the relative contribution of each one of the conditioning factors of the well-being of these homes to specify the nature of the relationship between the feminine home heads and the family well-being, and for the formulation of a social politics of support to this type of homes.
