In this paper we analyze actual labor market changes under a transitions approach, in other words, through individual changes in the position between activity and inactivity, formal and informal employment and open unemployment. The empirical analysis in this paper is based on data extracted from the National Urban Employment Survey. This survey provides panel data on changes in the economically activity and inactivity population. We use activity life expectations because these indicators resume the age of insertation in the in active population. The analytical strategy consists to separate the temporal change on the life the temporal change of the life expectancy in three factors: Mortality, Propension to insertate in activity and changes in labor markets.
