Resumen

CASTRO CASTRO, Carmen de; MUNOZ GONZALEZ, Juan Manuel  y  BRAZO MILLAN, Ana Isabel. The Use of Serious Videogames in Learning French in Higher Education. RMIE [online]. 2018, vol.23, n.76, pp.157-177. ISSN 1405-6666.

The purpose of this research, focused on the task-based teaching of a foreign language (French), has been to implement the use of videogames among students in higher education. In this sense, each student was required to meet the challenges of the serious game, Les Eonautes. The analysis was carried out with quantitative methodology, through the used of an ad hoc questionnaire consisting of 22 items involving the appropriateness of the videogame for teaching French. The results obtained from this experience show a posture of student indifference toward the use of the videogame. Students who are considering a career in teaching, however, evaluate the game and its didactic possibilities in a more positive fashion.
