HERNANDEZ GONZALEZ, Joaquín  y  RESENDIZ GARCIA, Nena Minoa. The Sociocultural Construction of Digital Skills in High School: From Daily Interaction to Study. RMIE [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.73, pp.421-444. ISSN 1405-6666.

Young people use the Internet and digital devices for activities involving entertainment and communication. The digital skills developed with their peers are transformed when they participate in academic work. The purpose of this study is to describe the digital skills of high school students in their daily interaction and the skills constructed through teacher intervention. The research, of an interpretative qualitative nature, was carried out in a university-linked high school. The interpretative framework was the sociology of the experience and a sociocultural focus. Outstanding among the results was the ubiquitous but episodic use of digital devices; the use of digital technology in daily interaction is interwoven with academic uses, guided by teacher support, in generating digital skills through Internet searches and writing.
