Resumen
LEIVAS, Marcela. Secondary Education, Educational Inequality, and New Development in Argentina since 2001: Lasting Structures and Modified Tendencies. RMIE [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.72, pp.57-88. ISSN 1405-6666.
The objective of this article is to discover if the compulsory nature of secondary education in Argentina, within the political framework of a new model of development following the crisis of 2001, has transformed the historic educational inequality that has characterized secondary education. The methodology is relational and integrates theoretical elements-from the sociology of education-and historical, political, and statistical elements. The analysis seeks to integrate these elements in a series of preliminary conclusions capable of pre-establishing the conditions that determine the presence of processes of educational inequality in secondary education; the article also attempts to define the tendencies that are often modified, given the configuration of a neo-developmental political context, and specifically in the educational field, the context promoted by the National Law of Education of 2006.
