Resumen

VEGA LOPEZ, María Guadalupe  y  GONZALEZ PEREZ, Guillermo Julián. Bullying at Secondary School. Factors that Dissuade or Reinforce the Aggressive Behavior of Adolescents. RMIE [online]. 2016, vol.21, n.71, pp.1165-1189. ISSN 1405-6666.

The purpose of this study was to identify the prevalence of aggressive adolescents in public secondary schools in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Mexico, and to analyze the factors that dissuade or encourage aggressive behavior. Data was obtained from a questionnaire that was self-applied by 1,706 adolescents, and then analyzed by means of the theory of social learning. The determined prevalence was 8.2%, with predominance in males' aggressive behavior. Through multivariate analysis, eight variables were identified as having a highly meaningful statistical association with the dependent variable. The dissuasive factors were excluded from the final model, yet psychotic traits and factors of interaction reinforce or maintain antisocial behaviors. A relevant increase of risk was observed because of encouragement among friends and threats involving weapons.
