PEREZ RUIZ, Abel; FERRER MEZA, Rosalba y GARCIA DIAZ, Enrique. Time at School and Subjectivity: Meanings of Teaching in Full-time Schools. RMIE [online]. 2015, vol.20, n.65, pp.507-527. ISSN 1405-6666.
This article addresses the way that elementary school teachers working at fulltime schools interpret and attach meaning to their professional activity, based on the articulation of the school's institutional conditions, particularly in relation to the organization of the school day and daily teaching. Employing a case study at two schools in eastern Mexico City, the study discusses unique evaluations of the use and meaning of time at school and the implications in defining teachers, teaching, and pedagogical links with students. Emphasis is given to a common evaluation related to the transcendence of the teacher's role, considering experience, training, and knowledge.
