Resumen

LUQUE PARRA, Diego Jesús  y  LUQUE ROJAS, María Jesús. Relationships of Friendship and Solidarity in the Classroom: A Pyscho-educational Approach to Disability in an Inclusive Framewor. RMIE [online]. 2015, vol.20, n.65, pp.369-392. ISSN 1405-6666.

This study analyzes the influence of disability, in addition to individual characteristics, in the context of classroom relationships. The variables studied were age, gender, and sociocultural setting and level in relation to disability, friendship, and acceptance. The results agreed with the hypotheses in showing no differences in friendship and acceptance by gender, sociocultural level, or sociocultural setting with regard to classmates with disabilities. Significant influence was seen, however, as a function of age, educational level, and type of disability, associated with the individual characteristics of students with disabilities. The conclusion points to the need to continue developing and encouraging values of acceptance, respect, and support among classmates, since students with disabilities require individualized support and thus have a greater probability of distancing themselves. Thus socioeducational compensation and the reduction of stereotypes are necessary, within an inclusive framework.
