This article analyzes the key factors in student satisfaction at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain) with PoliformaT, part of the Sakai project (open-code educational software). Based on 916 personal interviews, 70% of the students showed to be very or quite satisfied with PoliformaT. These factors were grouped into four dimensions: teachers, students, "hard" technology (interface) and "soft" technology (easy access and navigation). The dimension that most influences satisfaction with PoliformaT is "hard" technology. In addition, a structural model was used to prove that satisfaction has a direct and positive relation with recommendations for other students to use PoliformaT.
